The gliteretti of the music, theatre and cinema worlds attended Prithvi Theatre's 39th memorial concert, featuring a virtuoso performance by Ustad Zakir Hussain, in Mumbai on February 28. Here’s a look.

Ustad Zakir Hussain enthralled the audiences with the tabla alongside Dr Jayanthi Kumaresh on the veena and Kala Ramnath on the violin. Zakir had performed at the first-ever concert held at the venue in 1984.

The memorial concert paid tribute to Shashi Kapoor and his wife, Jennifer Kendal, on the latter’s birth anniversary. The theatre was built by both Shashi and Jennifer in memory of Prithviraj Kapoor.
