I Came By

The streaming giant has released the trailer of their upcoming film I Came By starring Downton Abbey fame Hugh Bonneville. The film also stars 1917’s George MacKay and Kelly Macdonald of Boardwalk Empire.

The film is helmed by Babak Anvari, who previously directed Under the Shadow and written by Anvari along with Namsi Khan. The official synopsis of the film reads, “Privilege hides the darkest secrets. After uncovering a sinister secret of a prestigious judge (Hugh Bonneville), a young graffiti artist (George Mackay) and his loved ones are dragged into a deadly game of cat and mouse.”

The two-minute-long trailer gives us a glimpse of the suspense that is in store as we go into the darkness of Hugh Bonneville’s basement. The trailer hints at a serial killer angle to the story, but there is no direct evidence in the trailer to confirm that. However, the trailer has successfully managed to pique the interest of the viewers.

I Came By will premiere on Netflix on August 31.

Drive Hard: The Maloof Way

The streaming platform also dropped the trailer of its new series Drive Hard: The Maloof Way which follows the legendary racer Sammy Maloof and his family performing stunts on their cars.

The Maloof family of racers and stunt drivers build the world’s baddest cars to make sure their clients take the chequered flag on race day. And when the racing dust settles, the Maloofs pull back the curtain on professional stunt driving as they practice and execute the most action-packed feats imaginable.

Mark Kadin, Will Ehbrecht, Ken Snow, and Tod Mesirow are executive producers of the eight 60-minute episodes. Drive Hard: The Maloof Way will start streaming on August 26.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners

Netflix’s animated Cyberpunk 2077 series is getting a new show, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The first full trailer of the upcoming anime show was released by the streamers and it introduces some of the story’s key players.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a 10-episode collaboration between Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt and Japanese animation studio Trigger, which has previously worked on the likes of Little Witch Academia and Kill la Kill.

It tells the story of a street kid trying to survive in the technology and body modification-obsessed Night City. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners debuts on Netflix in September.

Heartbreak High

Netflix has announced the reboot of the beloved Australian series, Heartbreak High, which will drop on the streaming giant's platform on September 14.

Set in the fictional Hartley High, the eight-episode series is an update of the ‘90s high school drama which made Callan Mulvey and Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou household names.

The short and flashy announcement video featuring a line-up of gay and non-binary characters gives fans a taste of the show's 21st-century makeover. Heartbreak High will be streaming from September 14.
