When pursuing a career as an air hostess or a cabin crew, it is essential to focus on personal and educational development. While you may choose any stream, pursuing hospitality or tourism can be advantageous. You may also consider enrolling in recognised cabin crew training institutes that provide specialised programmes covering safety procedures, customer service and grooming.

Along with academics, you must develop strong language skills, particularly in English, as effective communication is vital in this profession. Also, gaining customer service experience, even in part-time roles, can contribute to your readiness for the role. For instance, working in retail, hospitality, or any other job where you interact with customers face-to-face can enhance your interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle various customer needs.

As far as eligibility in concerned, an applicant must have completed Class XII and be between 17 and 26 years of age. The candidate must also be at least five feet and two inches tall, unmarried and have normal eyesight or corrected to 6/6 in both eyes. The applicant should also be medically fit.

Employers also value individuals who commit to continuous learning and acquiring new skills.
