Sanskriti University has filed more than 700 patents in the 2021-22 financial year, taking the total count of patents filed by the institute to 1,155.

Sanskriti University, Mathura, is committed to contributing to academics, research and innovation with the aim to enable India to make a transition from a developing economy to a developed economy.

The university recognises the importance of research and innovation and has filed more than 1,155 patents till now. Out of 30 designated patents, 26 have been registered.

A dedicated team of biologists, engineers and IP professionals who are actively involved in filing patent applications on behalf of the university at the Indian Patent Office, Indian Copyright Office, Indian Industrial Design Office and Indian Trademark Office.

Sanskriti University’s patent portfolio now totals 239 issued patents, with a dozen new patents recently published by the Indian Patent Office. It includes patents from various fields such as Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Chemistry and Pharmacy.

Sanskriti University chancellor Sachin Gupta hoped this would encourage the faculty and students to take up research. “Research is the backbone of India. Our youth have unique ideas and these ideas can be converted into patents,” Gupta said, congratulating the university staff on this achievement.
