JAIN Online, the e-learning arm of JAIN (Deemed-to-be-University), welcomed its first batch of students on November 27. The e-learning platform, which launched earlier this year, aims to provide students and working professionals with UGC-entitled online degrees and specialised courses.

A total of 15,000 students were inducted for the academic year 2021 at the virtual ceremony. JAIN Online has risen to the top of the list of online degree programme providers in the country.

Chenraj Roychand, founder chairman, JAIN Group, and chancellor, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), and Dhimant Ganatra, deputy director, JAIN Online, welcomed the students.They were joined by industry speakers Gaurav Saini, HR director-HMD Global (Nokia Phones) India, Asia Pacific Region, West Asia and Africa; Grace Samson, vice-president and HR head at Informatica; Joydeep Chakraborty, global head HR at Expleo; and Yamini Krishnan, senior director-HR,AMESA RBU at IQVIA.

The ceremony saw special talks by the guests and Q&A sessions discussing how active collaborations between industry and academia can aid in the early career planning of students.

Students from the US, the UAE, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Ghana, Tanzania, and Namibia have enrolled for the 2021 batch. Global instructors and experts in their fields will deliver online lectures through this platform.
