IIT-Hyderabad has introduced a three years Master of Science (Msc) Program in Medical Physics in collaboration with the Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute (BIACH&RI). The program is said to have been approved by the AERB (Atomic Energy Regulatory Board) and will be providing medical physicist specialist training in the techniques and concepts of applying physics in medicine.

Furthermore, the particular programme will also be providing clinical orientation for radiation, clinical immersion and shadowing, industry/ clinical lectures, short-term projects, and clinical internship for a period of 12 months to the third year students admitted at BIACH&RI

The candidates applying for the course will benefit from the academic acumen of IITH’s Faculty & Practical Expertise of the BIACH&RI team. This particular program, as the IIT-H, is beneficial for BSc students willing to make a career out of applied physics for the prevention, diagnosis, and the treatment of human diseases.

Students interested in the course can visit the official website - cip.iith.ac.in and thereafter submit their applications by 12 August, 2022. The candidates will further be screened on the basis of the marks obtained by them in the qualifying degree. In addition, IIT will also conduct an online interview for final selections.
