The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is conducting the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) class 10th board examinations from Wednesday, February 21.

The exams will continue till March 28.

On the first day, the board will be conducting the English Language paper and has issued several guidelines to the students appearing in the examination.

Candidates are not permitted to enter the examination hall with any book, memorandum or pocketbook, notes, paper, calculator, mobile phones or wireless devices.

The board has instructed students to be seated in the Examination Hall/Room five minutes before the scheduled start time of the examination. In case a student is late for the examination, he/she will have to give a satisfactory explanation and reason to the supervising examiner.

The students are also not allowed to leave the examination hall/room before the conclusion of the paper.

The students will have to mention their Unique Identification Number (UID), Index Number and subject clearly on the top-sheet of the Main Answer Booklet in the space provided. It should also be written on the front sheet of each continuation booklet. If the students are using any loose maps graph papers etc, these information should be written on the papers too.

Candidates must use Black/Blue ball-point pen/fountain pen while making the entries.

If any unfair means is detected/suspected, the supervising examiner or any member of the supervisory staff shall confiscate the answer scripts in which use of unfair assistance is detected/suspected.
