ICFAI University Jharkhand students land jobs in reputed IT firms

About 90% of the eligible students of the IT programmes like BCA, B Tech (CSE) and MCA have received placements from reputed firms

Techies and Computer Science grads from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University (ICFAI), Jharkhand have been recruited by top IT companies including TCS, Wipro and Capgemini, the institute said in a statement on April 21.

Md Arish Tufail and Hemad Karim were recruited by TCS, while Arti Kumari and Deo Ashish Kumar Singh were recruited by WIPRO. Capgemini, a French multinational IT and consulting company, also selected Md Arish Tufail and Arti Kumari from the institute.

About 90% of the BCA, BTech (CSE) and MCA students graduating in 2022 have received placements from reputed companies. Other companies that came for campus placements of IT graduates of the university include Nil Advantage, WebPlus, Cryptosoft etc.

Congratulating all the IT students who received placement offers, O R S Rao, vice-chancellor of the university, said, “We are happy to note that all of you faced stiff competition from students from reputed Institutions in multiple rounds of evaluation by the top IT companies and emerged successful. As you launch yourself into your professional career, you need to adapt to the new corporate work environment and work with dedication so that you can build a successful career.”

Arti Kumari, who was selected at WIPRO and Capgemini, said, “Latest curriculum of the university coupled with guidance from dedicated faculty members helped me in preparing for the rigorous evaluation by the reputed IT companies.”

Md Arish Tufail and Hemad Karim ascribed their selection to the thorough teaching of fundamentals coupled with rigorous practice in IT Labs.

Thanking the faculty and the university for his success, Deo Ashish Kumar Singh said, “Despite the challenges faced due to COVID-19 pandemic, we could continue quality education, due to the SWAADHYAY digital Learning Management System implemented at our university. We completed MOOC courses in emerging technology areas, which helped me to keep myself upskilled.”

Abhay Kumar Sinha, co-ordinator of faculty of IT, said, “Credit goes to our students who worked hard to get selected in the competitive written tests. This is not the first time that our students got selected by reputed IT companies. Our alumni have been working in reputed companies like Accenture, TCS, WIPRO, Cognizant etc.”

Sumit Sinha, faculty in-charge, placements, said, “Mock tests and mock interviews helped our students attend the selection interviews with confidence”.
