The Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI) has announced the dates for the FTII JET 2024 exam, scheduled to take place on April 6 and 7. Starting tomorrow, February 18, the institute will start the registration process for the Joint Entrance Test (JET). The exam aims to facilitate admission into a 3-year postgraduate programme in cinema and a 2-year PG in Electronic and Digital Media.

Prospective candidates, including graduates from any discipline and final year degree students, are eligible to apply for the JET 2024 exam. The application form will be available on the official website, srfti.ac.in.

Selection for the PG courses will be based on the nationally administered JET exam, followed by rounds of orientation and interview, all of which are mandatory for consideration.

The JET written test, of 3 hours and carrying a total of 100 marks, will comprise two parts. Paper 1 will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and multiple-select questions (MSQs), each carrying 20 marks, while Paper 2 will feature descriptive questions worth 60 marks.

Successful candidates in the JET 2024 written exam will proceed to the orientation course and interview stages. It must further be noted that SRFTI has announced 12 seats for the PG course in Cinema and 7 seats for PG Electronic and Digital Media.

Regarding application fees, candidates falling under the open unreserved category are required to pay Rs 2,000 for one course, Rs 3,000 for two courses, and Rs 4,000 for three courses. Meanwhile, SC, ST, PwD, and female candidates will be charged Rs 600 for one course, Rs 900 for two courses, and Rs 1,200 for three courses.
