The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has invited online applications from eligible students for the Single Girl Child Scholarship 2021.
The last date to submit the application is January 17, 2022. Students who have passed their Class X examination from a CBSE-affiliated school with at least 60% marks would be able to apply for this merit scholarship scheme. Candidates can check details related to the scholarship programme on the Board’s official website--www.cbse.gov.in.
In addition to the new applications, CBSE has also invited renewal applications for Single Girl Child Scholarship 2020.
Eligibility criteria for CBSE Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child 2021:
• The scholarship programme is only for single girl children studying in Class XI or XII in CBSE-affiliated schools.
• Girls who have scored 60% or more in Class X Board exams can apply.
• The monthly tuition fee should not exceed Rs 1,500 per month in Class X and increase by 10% in Class XI and XII.
• The scholarship awarded shall be renewed for a period of one year on successful completion of Class XI with at least 50% marks.
• The scholarship shall be awarded to Indian nationals only.
• NRI applicants of the Board are also eligible for the award. The tuition fee for NRIs has an upper limit of Rs 6,000 per month.
• A scholar under the scheme can enjoy other concessions given by the school in which she is studying.

• Click on the scholarship link on the home page.
• Click on CBSE Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child 2020 link.
• Download the application form and enter your details and submit it.
Candidates may apply online for the Single Girl Child Scholarship programme and the concerned schools will have to verify the application forms of the students. CBSE has a dedicated scholarship portal wherein the schools may login and verify the applications. Schools have been asked to verify the applications between December 31, 2021 and January 25, 2022.
The board launched the Single Girl Child Scholarship in 2006.
