The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has recently announced details about the storytelling competition for the academic session 2022-23. This competition is for all the students studying in classes 3 to 12. The registration will take place via the CBSE Storytelling web portal- cbseit.in. The last date for registering is 12 February, 2023.

After the school-level competition and shortlisting one best entry from every category, the schools will be registering the student with the selected best entry.

CBSE storytelling competition: Participation level

  • School Level: Here the schools have already conducted a storytelling competition, on their own, held from 17 to 31 January, for every category and selected one best entry in each category to take part at the regional level.
  • Regional Level: The regional level competition will be held in online modes, from 1 February to 12 February via the CBSE storytelling app. At this level, one best story of every category will be chosen from every CBSE region. Here every winner will get an online merit certificate.
  • National Level: The best entries chosen at the regional level will be gauged digitally by a chosen committee of experts. The winners will also get an online merit certificate.

How to upload videos for the CBSE storytelling competition?

The schools can upload videos for the regional level till 12 February, 2023. Schools willing to participate can upload videos of their students through the CBSE Storytelling App. Before uploading storytelling videos, schools must make sure to obtain a consent letter from parents or guardians of the students whose videos are being uploaded.

The size of the video must not be more than 2 MB. For the primary category (Students of Classes 3 to 5) the duration of the video must be 2 minutes, for the middle category (Classes 6 to 8) the duration of the video must be 2-3 minutes and for the secondary and senior secondary category (Classes 9 to 12) the duration of the video must be 3-4 minutes. The final assessment will be done based on creativity, content delivery, fluency, and expression.
