In a dynamic collaboration, the Science Association of SXC and Google Developer Students' Club kickstarted the academic year 2023-24 with an enlightening seminar on one of the most discussed topics of the time: "Generative AI: Future or Just Another Wave to Pass By?". The event on October 16, 2023, was graced by Dr. Sanmitra Sarkar, IBM's Group Manager and Location Leader for Artificial Intelligence. This set the stage for a day of deep exploration.

Rev. Fr. Peter Arockiam SJ, Vice Principal, Dept(s) of B. Com (Evening) and B.M.S, took to the podium for the inaugural address, speaking at length on the intricate world of machine learning models and their pivotal role in today's tech landscape. Following his captivating speech and an informative powerpoint presentation, the attendees were immersed in the rapidly evolving field of AI. The speaker session was followed by a sparkling QnA session that delved deeper into the realms of Artificial Intelligence.

The event culminated with the announcement of the "Frame of Reference" online photography competition winners – an event that was organised by the SXCSA on the theme "Portray Your Discipline":
