Swami Vivekananda University's Department of Journalism and Mass Communication pulled out all the stops for their annual media fest, Concordia'24, held from 19 to 21 February.

Transforming the campus into a vibrant hub of creativity and competition, the event drew over 40 colleges and universities, including APC College, Calcutta University, Jadavpur University, NSHM College, Adamas University, Frankfinn Institute of Air Hostess Training, Raja Peary Mohan College, Vivekananda College, Madhyamgram, Barrackpore Rastraguru Surendranath College, Sister Nivedita University, and many more.

From aspiring filmmakers showcasing their skills in "Cinequest" to wordsmiths weaving magic in "Versify" and "Word Weaver," Concordia'24 offered a stage for every media passion. Artistic expression took center stage in "Artem" and "Snap-o-Shot," while social media enthusiasts brought their A-game to "Reel-o-craft."

The highlight, however, was the dazzling "Panache" ramp show, judged by renowned personalities like Mr. Parambrata Chatterjee, Ms. Sayani Ghosh, Mr. Abhishek Ray, and Mr. Abhijit Sridas.

But Concordia'24 wasn't just about winning. A thought-provoking panel discussion featuring eminent personalities like Gourab Chatterjee (Gaboo), Eminent Musician and drummer of Lokkhichara Band; Swarnali Sarkar, Eminent Anchor & Journalist, Republic TV; Pradipta Bhattacharya, National Award Winning Director; RJ Pragya, Eminent RJ; Joydeep Das Gupta, Managing Editor at News Sense; Syamantak Ghosh, Editor of Deutsche Welle, German national media offered a platform for insightful dialogue and exchange of ideas within the media landscape.

Renowned personalities like Jhilam Gupta, a famous YouTuber, Mr. Rajaditya Banerjee, Director; Mr. Prabir Guha, a theatre artist; and Mr. Soumyadeep Bhattacharya, musician provided valuable feedback to participants, fostering a spirit of learning and collaboration. The grand finale, "Panache," marked the culmination of the event, leaving a lasting impression on all involved.

"Concordia'24 exceeded expectations," said Dr. Pramiti Roy, Director, School of Humanities and Social Sciences. "The enthusiasm and talent displayed were inspiring.
