The atmosphere crackled with anticipation and excitement as participants from renowned institutions across the country converged at St Xavier’s University, Kolkata where the Xavier Society of Law and Justice (XSLAJ 2024) hosted 2nd Xavier Mediation Competition 2024, for two days of intense competition on April 5 and 6, 2024. With esteemed partners Khaitan & Co and Sharma & Sharma Advocates and Legal Consultants LLP on board, the stage was set for a showdown of legal minds like never before.

In a dazzling display of negotiation skills, the team from Jindal Global Law School clinched victory as the Best Negotiating Pair at the competition. With their strategic acumen and razor sharp skills, they not only secured the prestigious Champion’s Cup but also bagged a generous Cash Prize of ₹50,000, cementing their status as formidable contenders in the legal arena.

But that's not all—Jindal Global Law School further solidified their dominance by claiming the title of Best Mediator, underscoring their versatility and excellence in mediation. A participant from the same institution dazzled the judges with their exceptional mediation skills, earning them the esteemed Best Mediator trophy along with a substantial Cash Prize of ₹30,000.

In a testament to the calibre of talent on display, the Runners-Up Negotiating Pair hailed from the esteemed National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, showcasing the depth of talent in the legal fraternity. Their stellar performance earned them the Runners-Up Trophy along with a Cash Prize of ₹20,000, proving that excellence knows no bounds.

Meanwhile, the Runner-Up Mediator accolade went to a participant from Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai, highlighting the diversity and skillfulness of contestants. Their commendable effort earned them the Runner-Up Mediator Trophy and a Cash Prize of ₹10,000, further enriching the vibrant showcasing of talent at XMC’24.
