The Platinum Exhibition of South Point High School was held on 21st, 22nd & 23rd December, 2023 in the premises of the School. The exhibition was inaugurated by the eminent artist, Shri Subrata Gangopadhyay at 10.30 am on 21st December, 2023. It was open to visitors from 21st to 23rd December, 2023 from 12 noon to 5.30 pm.

The courtyard of the school displayed a banyan tree, with numerous photographs depicting the seven decades of South Point to take visitors on an enthralling journey of the school’s glorious seventy years. The main attractions of the Platinum Exhibition were ceramic plates, pen stands, collages with different materials, bottle sculpture, M-seal work, kite collages and Tile murals. T-shirt painting to draw the attention of visitors along with craft work presented by pupils of Classes VI to XII in addition to the subject- based projects. However, the different departments of the school also presented their own projects as highlighted below.

The Economics Department initiated a project titled 'Indian Economy at 75 - The Vision of Amrit Kaal.' The project was projected to highlight India's journey from a stagnant and backward economy on the eve of independence to a vibrant, empowered, and inclusive economy, as envisioned in the concept of 'Amrit Kaal.'

The subject chosen for the Political Science exhibition revolved around "Human Rights." The depiction by students aimed to capture the evolution, significance, the rights of various groups, and instances of Human Rights violations worldwide.

In Legal Studies, the focus was on examining the implementation of Human Rights in India. The students delved into significant cases that have profoundly influenced the protection of Human Rights in the country.

In the domain of commerce, the focus often shifted to the intricacies of the 'Promotion Mix.' Effectively promoting products or services had become a fundamental necessity for businesses in the fiercely competitive environment of the time, enabling them not only to survive but also to thrive. The objective was to shed light on the profound impact of various Promotion Mix strategies, offering insights into their significance. Furthermore, it also showcased an aim to delve into the evolutionary path that lay ahead in this domain – the emergence and influence of DIGITAL MARKETING. This transformation in promotional approaches signified a shift towards a more tech-savvy and interconnected marketplace, altering the landscape for businesses aiming to capture consumer attention and loyalty.

To commemorate the School’s 70 years journey, the Department of Chemistry focuses on a comprehensive coverage of milestone innovations in Chemistry in the last 70 years. Groundbreaking advancements and novel applications in material Science and Bio-chemistry are displayed and demonstrated by pupils to the best of their abilities.

The commendable teachers, particularly those in the Art department, had dedicated substantial effort to nurture, inspire, and guide students, showcasing their latent talents.

As the curtains fell on this prestigious event, which took place late in the evening on December 23, 2023, there was confidence that the exhibition had left an indelible mark on attendees. Parents, pupils, ex-students, and well-wishers who graced the exhibition were captivated by the diverse array of exhibits, reinforcing the success of yet another edition of this remarkable event.
