Jodhpur Park Girls’ High School celebrated its annual programme at Madhusudan Mancha on 14th and 15th of September 2023. Many eminent dignitaries were present at the annual day celebration. All the students and parents of participants were invited. The stage was beautifully decorated with flowers and handicrafts made by the students. The programme started at 9 a.m. with the headmistress delivering her commencement speech and the illuminating of lamp by the chief guest Mr. Nrisingha Prasad Bhaduri.

The function began with an energetic welcome song which was performed by the students of the school. On the first day the students from pre-primary to class V entertained everyone with their beautiful song, dance and drama performance such as “Panta Buri” and Ukiler buddhi”. Marvellous dance performances of the students “Chota bachha”, “Nach Mayuri Nach Re”, “Aj Phaguner agun”, “Sohag Chand” etc attracted the attention of the audience. On the second day many students and ex-students were invited who had represented the school on different platforms and had brought glory to the school.

They came up on the stage and the chief guest and other honourable guests handed out certificates and prizes to them. Soon after the chief secretary delivered his valuable speech. Following that, one after another there were marvellous song, recitation such as “Kandari Husiar”, “Sristi sukher ullas” and various outstanding dance performances like “Nivonto ei chullite”, “Ami sei meye”, “Nao chharaya de” etc got applauded from the spectators. Specially “Yoga Nrityo” and “Shiva Tandav” got a standing ovation and much praise from the audience. Later a famous dance drama “Chitrangada” was staged by the students of the school. The spectators were spellbound by the mesmerising performances of the students. The choir group attracted everyone with their beautiful melodic songs, when the drama come to an end the audience burst out into wild applause. After three hours of grand performances by the students, the programme ended with the headmistress proposing the vote of thanks and congratulating all the students, teachers, staff and everyone involved in the success of the programme.
