SPHURAN is a 3-day annual technical festival organised by Electrical Engineers' Society, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIEST SHIBPUR, emphasizing to bring students , industries and researchers together. It is incorporated with numerous informative and technical events, games and seminars vitalising students to stress more on their critical thinking ability and imaginative skills, bringing theoretical electrical concepts to live action .
Technical events include Electroquip, Vidyut Gyan , Illumination, Cyber Blame and Tech - Trends based on quiz, circuit simulation, coding and poster presentation respectively. Besides these are some other thrilling creative team events like Voltage voyage, Adhyayan, Argumentation, Shatranj, Valorant and FIFA which are treasure hunt, case studies, debate and chess accompanied by fun games like -wire the loop, headphone and dart game.They comprises of amazing cash prizes worth Rs 1 lakh, providing an opportunity to improve teamwork and coordination .
The event will be concluded with fruitfull alumni convention on the third day alumni will be acknowledging our alumni who have now achieved successful positions in their career to enlighten us with their much required guidance and advice.
SPHURAN 2023 is the 2nd edition of this event. With the motto "Concepts rectified, Calibre amplified!", the 3-day long event will begin from 7 to 9 April 2023. The event hopes to be a grand success with the cooperation of students from all years, faculties, alumni and industries .
