Delhi Public School Ruby Park, Kolkata held its 17th Annual Day, REVERENCE on Monday, 9th October 2023, at the Science City Auditorium from 5pm. The cultural extravaganza was organised amidst much fanfare and excitement.

The occasion was graced by Ms Melinda Pavek, the Honourable US Consul General as the Chief Guest and the eminent dancer Ms Alokananda Ray as the Guest of Honour.

The event started with the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony which was an acknowledgement and felicitation of the young achievers who have made the school proud with their stellar academic performances in the session.

A total of 459 awardees from Classes II to IX and XI bears testament to the rich harvest of academic brilliance the school boasts of. Reverence 2023 was an attempt to honour the school's unwavering commitment to foster and sustain this spirit of excellence. This spirit of excellence was reaffirmed by the Chief Guest, Ms Melinda Pavek, who addressed the audience before the programme began. The Guest of Honour, Ms. Alokananda Ray, appreciated the stupendous efforts of the students, in her address after the programme.

The highlight of the evening was the Annual Play, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, a modern fairy tale staged in the form of a musical. The grand scale of production was evident from an ensemble cast of more than 350 students, who put in their concerted efforts contributing in various capacities – as actors, singers, dancers, lending voices to characters and even offering logistic support in the form of prop and stage management. The audience were treated to a spectacular display of visual opulence, immersing themselves in the magic and music of a magnum opus.

The programme came to an end with the Head Girl of the school giving the Vote of Thanks.
