Inspired by the Indian festivals and celebrations that we find ourselves always immersed in, this season the collection speaks to Indian culture. As Indians, we place a great deal of value on festivals, and we know how auspicious it is during festivals. To spread that same love and warmth, I created this collection based on the bright and cheerful aura we all possess. The collection embodies our culture and traditions in the true spirit of the festive and wedding season.

We curated this collection for the upcoming festive and wedding season. Featuring modern silhouettes and play of colours, crystals, beadwork and sequins, the styles are light and modern. Whether it be a sari, jacket, kurta set, or pants, the collection has something for everyone.

They would look great at a destination wedding too. What are more and more people picking up for vacay weddings?

I also agree that this festive and wedding pret collection gives the feeling of being able to wear them outdoors as the pieces have a very easy-to-wear, easy-breezy feel to them. There is something very comfortable and light about the silhouettes that we have incorporated. The most popular picks for vacation weddings are lighter Indo-western styles, pants jacket sets, drape saris, and draped lehngas, many of which we’ve included in our latest collection.

What are great pieces for a Mehndi, sangeet or a bachelorette party?

The styling and feel of all three events is different, according to my opinion. These days, it’s common for weddings to have a theme to tie everything together. So, each pre-wedding function you attend can be styled differently, without having to wear the same lehngas every time.

For a Mehndi, you can choose a heavily embellished crop top and flared skirt, or a light pastel lehnga, or even draped sari to save yourself the trouble of handling it every time.

For a sangeet night, one can pick a very conceptual shirt or corset paired with a heavy lehnga, or go for a ball gown and again can choose a draped Indo-western lehnga.

For a bachelorette, if you are planning a fun and sexy evening, I suggest you choose short dresses, body-con gowns, or maybe a slit dress, in fabrics such as chiffon or satin.

What are the winter wedding trends this year?

Recently, we have seen that many brides and soon-to-be brides are choosing and using a wide range of colours — such as orange tones, purples, golds, blues and reds. All of these colours I believe are currently in vogue for winter weddings. Today’s brides want lehnga styles that are modern, yet classic, and stand out from the crowd.

A fun pre-wedding closet must have...

Capes, shrugs and crop top-lehnga combinations, sari gowns, lehnga saris, trousers suits — all are great ideas for a perfect pre-wedding closet.
