Mercedes-Benz India tops luxury sales for ninth year, record 17,408 units sold in 2023

The company is also planning to launch 12 models this year, including three battery electric vehicles

Mercedes-Benz India has posted a record sales of 17,408 units in 2023, a 10 per cent year-on-year (YoY) growth over 2022 when it sold 15,822 units.

The company is also planning to launch 12 models this year, including three battery electric vehicles.

In its annual press conference in Delhi on Monday, it announced a plan to invest Rs 200 crore in digitisation manufacturing processes.

This fresh investment takes the company’s cumulative investments to Rs 3,000 crore in its 30th year in India.

The company will also expand its network by adding 20 workshops and enter 10 new cities in 2024.

The company reiterated that it maintained its lead in the Indian luxury car market for the ninth consecutive year as it recorded the highest-ever sales in a calendar year.

While Audi sold 7931 units, industry sources said BMW sold 12895 units.
