Adani Total Gas reports 16 per cent rise in net profit for October-December quarter

Adani Total Gas Ltd, the city gas retailing joint venture of the Adani group and TotalEnergies of France, on Tuesday reported a 16 per cent rise in third quarter net profit on the back of strong CNG sales. It posted a standalone net profit of Rs 172 crore compared with Rs 148 crore a year back.

The CNG sales rose as the firm added 98 new stations, taking the total network to 835 stations across the country. Adding over 85,580 new piped natural gas consumers took the total households buying piped cooking gas from the company to 9.3 lakh.

Revenue from operations was 5 per cent higher at Rs 1,243 crore.

L&T PAT grows 15%

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Tuesday posted a 15 per cent rise in its consolidated profit after tax at Rs 2,947 crore in the December quarter against a PAT of Rs 2,552.92 crore in the year-ago period.

Consolidated income grew to Rs 55,965.57 crore from Rs 47,144.75 crore a year ago.

“We have registered yet another quarter of strong performance, despite the headwinds from a volatile global environment and consequent supply chain constraints,” L&T chairman and managing director S.N. Subrahmanyan said in a statement.

NDTV suffers loss

News Broadcaster New Delhi Television Ltd on Tuesday reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 10.16 crore for the third quarter ended December.

The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 15.18 crore in the October-December quarter last fiscal.

Consolidated revenue from operations fell 7 per cent to Rs 97.95 crore. It was Rs 105.37 crore in the year-ago period, it added. PTI
